Dame Ellen MacArthur: The surprising thing I learned sailing solo around the world – TED Talk

Published on Jun 29, 2015

What do you learn when you sail around the world on your own? When solo sailor Ellen MacArthur circled the globe – carrying everything she needed with her – she came back with new insight into the way the world works, as a place of interlocking cycles and finite resources, where the decisions we make today affect what’s left for tomorrow. She proposes a bold new way to see the world’s economic systems: not as linear, but as circular, where everything comes around.

Sustainable Farming – TechKnow – YouTube

Here’s a good idea – not that I’m into consumption of dairy or any other animal products.

Fair Oaks Farms is home to over 36,000 cows that produce milk for distribution all over the Midwestern United States. However, the most impressive export of the Fair Oaks cows might not be their milk. The farm recently invested $19 million into an anaerobic digester that converts the cow manure into compressed natural gas (CNG).

Financial Discretion Equals Happy Farming | The Contrary Farmer

A most provocative article in the latest Draft Horse Journal  (full disclosure: I write for this magazine regularly) argues that an Amish farm with gross sales of $50,000 has more money to spend after necessary living expenses are paid out than a conventional farm with gross sales of $300,000 (Farming From the Heart, by Chet Kendall, p. 107ff).  Kendall  bases his argument on discretionary income, which is the money you have left to spend as you like after all debt payments and necessary overhead are satisfied. The Amish farm had $23,000 to spend or not spend this way. The conventional farm had none.

Bees Are Literally Worrying Themselves to Death — NYMag

The American honeybee is in peril, you might have heard, if you are the sort of person who likes a ghost story. In the last year, beekeepers lost 42 percent of their colonies, another peak in a string of mass die-offs on the scale of plagues: In the last five years, die-offs have hit 34 percent, 46 percent, 29 percent, and 36 percent. That’s more than one in every three colonies each year — whole impeccably networked societies, as big as small cities. In many areas, the figures were worse, and it was hard not to wonder how a species in crisis could possibly sustain annual regional losses as high as 60 percent without fast approaching extinction. “What are we doing on bees?” the president has been said to interject at the end of Oval Office meetings. “Are we doing enough?”

The Salvation of Greece. Prepare Yourself Accordingly. – Stef Molyneux

Published on Jun 19, 2015

Financial instability has caused a massive bank run in Greece which has resulted in billions of Euros in cash being withdrawn as of Friday night. Despite maneuvering from the Greek Central Bank, the European Central Bank and those in the European Union – this situation is completely unsustainable. So what’s next? What can be done in the event of economic collapse to allow Greece a sustainable future? Will Greece stay stick with the Euro? Will Greece leave the European Union?

Abraham Hicks – “You MUST Hear This” (2015)

Published on Jun 9, 2015

Gift the teachings of Abraham to a friend or loved one visit bit.ly/Abraham-Hicks2015

Listen to this Abraham Hicks recording to automatically raise your vibration. Your physical reality will begin to reflect to you the emotions your feel most often. Enter the vortex and more and more of what you want will appear in your life.

For more information on the teachings of Abraham or to attend an Abraham workshop in person visit:http://www.abraham-hicks.com.

Abraham has described themselves as “a group consciousness from the non-physical dimension” (which helps a lot!). They have also said, “We are that which you are. You are the leading edge of that which we are. We are that which is at the heart of all religions.”

Abraham has told us through Esther that whenever we feel moments of great love, exhilaration, pure joy, stoned-out bliss, even the energy of sexual orgasm when we feel that Energy Flow rushing through our bodies, that is the energy of Source, and that is who Abraham “is”.

“Jerry and Esther never used the word channeling,” Abraham reflects. “It is used when applied to them, but they have never used it, because it means many things of which they are not, you see.”

“You could leave the channeling out of it. Call it inspiration; that’s all it is. You don’t call the basketball player a channeler, but he is; he’s an extension of Source Energy. You don’t call the surgeon a channeler, but he is. You don’t call the musician, the magnificent master musician, you don’t call him a channeler, but he is. He’s channeling the broader essence of who he is into the specifics of what he is about.”

Esther herself calls Abraham “infinite intelligence,” and to Jerry they are “the purest form of love I’ve ever experienced.”

We say check out Abraham for yourself. It’s the only way to go and the only way to know. If watching or listening or reading the words of Abraham feels good to you, then you’re in the right place. If they sound “off” to you, or maybe even a little bit annoying—adventure on!

And finally—from Jerry—”Mr. Practical”:

“I don’t know what they are and I don’t care what they are. I’m just using them for the good it will do for myself and others.”

And sometimes—all is said with just one word.

Abraham. They just are what they are.

Former CIA Director: We’re Not Doing Nearly Enough To Protect Against The EMP Threat – Chris Martenson

Published on Jun 7, 2015

It’s a BIG risk. And we’re doing little about it.

Full description and comments at: http://www.peakprosperity.com/podcast…

On Monday we covered the release of an open letter written to President Obama, issued by a committee of notable political, security and defense experts — which includes past and present members of Congress, ambassadors, CIA directors, and others — on the country’s concerning level of vulnerability to a natural or man-made Electro-Magnetic Pulse (EMP).

An EMP has very real potential for crippling much of our electrical grid instantaneously. Not only would that immediately throw the social order into chaos, but the timeline to repair and restart the grid in most estimated scenarios would take months to a year or more. Those curious on learning exactly how devastating an EMP can be can read our report on the topic from last summer.

This week, we’ve been fortunate enough to get several of the authors of that open letter to join us and explain in depth what they conclude needs to be done to protect against the EMP risk: former CIA Director and current Ambassador James Woolsey, Executive Director of the EMP Task Force Dr Peter Pry, and security industry entrepreneur Jen Bawden.

What’s frightening in this story is not just the carnage an EMP could wreak, but the apparent rabid intransigence with which the electrical power lobby is fighting any responsibility for defending against one.
