President Trump Threatens to Fire FDA Chief Unless He Approves Pfizer COVID Vaccine Immediately | by Brian Shilhavy Editor, Health Impact News

Multiple news outlets reported today that the White House has informed the FDA that if they do not approve the new experimental Pfizer COVID vaccine by the end of the day today, Friday, December 11, 2020, that Stephen Hahn, the head of the FDA, would be fired.

This follows a Twitter storm by the President earlier in the day where he Tweeted:

“While my pushing the money drenched but heavily bureaucratic @US_FDA saved five years in the approval of NUMEROUS great new vaccines, it is still a big, old, slow turtle. Get the dam vaccines out NOW, Dr. Hahn @SteveFDA. Stop playing games and start saving lives!!!

The Swine Flu (H1N1), and the attempt for a vaccine by the Obama Administration, with Joe Biden in charge, was a complete and total disaster. Now they want to come in and take over one of the “greatest and fastest medical miracles in modern day history.” I don’t think so!

I just want to stop the world from killing itself!”

Health Impact News opposes the President 100% on this issue, as we, along with many other organizations, have called upon the FDA to NOT approve the dangerous new Pfizer COVID vaccine that literally thousands of medical doctors and scientists around the world have said is too dangerous to approve, as it will result in deaths, brain injuries, autoimmune diseases, infertility and more.

Hundreds of Solar Farms Built Atop Closed Landfills Are Turning Brownfields into Green Fields | GoodNewsNetwork.org

One of the big knocks against solar panels is how much land they take up compared to how much power they generate. But what if there were a readymade source of open land nearby to cities and towns that was guaranteed not to be used for anything else?

As it turns out, landfills are becoming prime real estate for solar farms, and one nonprofit believes the U.S. could increase the nation’s solar energy capacity by 63 gigawatts, or approximately 60%, simply by building solar farms on landfills.

Solar firms are building these landfill solar farms all over the country, and while they present a bigger engineering and economic challenge then building one on flat ground, the appeal of refurbishing capped landfills and brownfields from their barren state into a new service for the community is deeply appealing.

Turning brownfields into greenfields, energy firms are building solar power plants on top of closed-off landfills.

In a pilot human study, researchers from the University of Minnesota Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital show it is possible to improve specific human brain functions related to self-control and mental flexibility by merging artificial intelligence with targeted electrical brain stimulation.

Alik Widge, MD, PhD, an assistant professor of psychiatry and member of the Medical Discovery Team on Addiction at the U of M Medical School, is the senior author of the research published in Nature Biomedical Engineering. The findings come from a human study conducted at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston among 12 patients undergoing brain surgery for epilepsy – a procedure that places hundreds of tiny electrodes throughout the brain to record its activity and identify where seizures originate.

Hundreds of Mathematicians, Scientists, Sign Open Letter Against Social Justice-Based Curriculum | By Isabel van Brugen | TheEpochTimes.com | December 7, 2021

More than 700 mathematicians and scientists have signed an open letter denouncing recent “trends” in K-12 mathematics education aimed at closing achievement gaps that they say will damage America’s global competitiveness.

“We write to express our alarm over recent trends in K-12 mathematics education in the United States,” the “ Open Letter on K-12 Mathematics,” which has 746 signatories as of Dec. 6, says.

Signatories include several public school math teachers from California, numerous professors at University of California schools, including UC-Davis and UC-Berkeley, and staff at leading U.S. universities for hard science, including Stanford, Berkeley, CalTech, and MIT.

It comes after the California Department of Education this year postponed implementation of a new math framework that aims to keep students learning at the same level, citing equity, following widespread opposition to the curriculum. Opponents have said the reforms would discourage students who speak English as a second language.

The letter cites the California Mathematics Framework as particularly concerning, describing the recent reforms as “well-intentioned approaches to reform mathematics education,” but warns they may have “unintended consequences.”

While the California Mathematics Framework may superficially reduce disparities at the high school level, the efforts are merely “kicking the can” to college and will ultimately place K-12 public school students at a disadvantage compared with their international and private-school peers, the letter says.
