I had the great pleasure of meeting Danny Wednesday at UAMS as he was in search of a Black female centenarian to complement the White male centenarian with whom he had already had a photo shoot. My 87-year-old mother’s companion, helper, driver, and friend ReeShema had brought her to Reynolds Institute on Aging at UAMS to play the piano and knew of such a woman. She was able to connect Danny with her and he did his photo shoot with Margaret today. A photographer from KTHV was there to catch it on film and it will be shown tonight on the 10 p.m. news.
