Set Your Heart Free – Mooji – Highly recommended!!!

Mooji spontaneously shared this Satsang one evening and requested for it to be shared on YouTube within the next few days. We recommend this Satsang highly.

“You see, this you can put down as the most important talk a human being can have. But only if it is understood. Only if it is understood, and if it is grasped inside the heart, it is the most profound thing you will hear in the human kingdom.”

Don’t Give Any Compassion to the Egoic Mind – Mooji

It is almost as though your mind will not give up
unless you give the mind up, in a sense.
When I say ‘give it up’, I mean to give up
who are you are in your mind —
you have to give up.
Otherwise, you will speak different things
but you will not change inside, you will not have melted
into that sweetness that comes
when you are really aware of the Truth.
A person cannot change a person;
only Grace and God can change you,
but you have to be humble.

Kitra Cahana: My father, locked in his body but soaring free – TED Talks

In 2011 Ronnie Cahana suffered a severe stroke that left him with locked-in syndrome: completely paralyzed except for his eyes. While this might shatter a normal person’s mental state, Cahana found peace in “dimming down the external chatter,” and “fell in love with life and body anew.” In a somber, emotional talk, his daughter Kitra shares how she documented her father’s spiritual experience, as he helped guide others even in a state of seeming helplessness.

Red and Processed Meats Increase Risk of Bladder Cancer – Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine

Red and Processed Meats Increase Risk of Bladder Cancer

Red or processed meat products increase your risk of bladder cancer, according to a meta-analysis in the International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Medicine.

Researchers examined 25 articles published between 1980 and 2014 which included 1,558,848 participants worldwide. High consumption of red and processed meat by participants in America lead to a 25 and 33 percent increased risk of bladder cancer, respectively, compared with low consumption. The results also showed an increased risk of breast cancer with high intakes of these products.

Orange is the New Pink this Breast Cancer Awareness Month | Physicians Committee

Women across the country should swap their pink ribbons for orange vegetables this Breast Cancer Awareness Month if they really want to improve their odds of fighting the disease that kills tens of thousands of women each year.

The latest research shows that women who consume the most carotenoid-rich fruits and vegetables reduce their risk for breast cancer by about 19 percent, according to Susan Levin, M.S., R.D., director of nutrition education for the Physicians Committee and author of Applying the Precautionary Principle to Nutrition and Cancer guidelines, which was published in the Journal of American College of Nutrition. Carotenoids are colorful pigments found in plants that provide an ample supply of cancer-fighting antioxidants.

The Power of Your own Light — 12 Oct 2014 (partial)

The Work of Byron Katie

I love the thought of “who would I be without that story?” So full of potential without a past or a future.

The Work of Byron Katie is a way of identifying and questioning the thoughts that cause all the anger, fear, depression, addiction, and violence in the world. Experience the happiness of undoing those thoughts through The Work, and allow your mind to return to its true, awakened, peaceful, creative nature. Are you ready? Everything you need in order to do The Work is available free on this website.

The 4 Questions
Investigate each of your statements on the Judge-Your-Neighbor Worksheet using the four questions and the turnarounds below. The Work is meditation. It’s about opening to your heart, not about trying to change your thoughts. Ask the questions, then go inside and wait for the deeper answers to surface. Download the Facilitation Guide for helpful sub-questions.

In its most basic form, The Work consists of four questions and turnarounds. For example, your statement might be “[Name] doesn’t listen to me.” Find someone in your life about whom you have had that thought. Then take that statement and put it up against the four questions and turnarounds of The Work.

Step 1 Is it true? (Yes or no. If no, move to 3.)

Step 2 Can you absolutely know that it’s true? (Yes or no.)

Step 3 How do you react, what happens, when you believe that thought?

Who would you be without the thought?

Turn the thought around. Then find at least three specific, genuine examples of how each turnaround is true for you in this situation.
