Are Republicans Pure Evil? – LewRockwell.com

According to the Budget and Accounting Act of 1921, the president must annually submit a proposed budget to Congress for the next fiscal year by the first Monday in February. Although he was late, as usual, President Obama did submit his budget proposal on March 4. But because Republicans control the House of Representatives, and politics controls everything, the president’s budget was, of course, dead on arrival. Although there is no reason why Republicans should object to Obama’s budget, they have now introduced their own.

In That Libertarian Tent – LewRockwell.com

While many people are arguing over what libertarianism is, or spending a lot of time searching for a missing Malaysian airliner which may very well have been abducted by aliens, or arguing over Ukraine or whether Vladimir Putin is this or that, I would prefer to discuss Elizabeth Warren’s “consumer protection” bureau. But because the “libertarianism” argument seems to be such a hot-button issue at this time, I instead want to add my two-cents worth on that issue.

One hundred years later we hear cries across America to “get tough” with Moscow over fragmenting Ukraine. A dozen US F-16 fighters are being sent to the Baltic, a squadron of F-15’s to Poland, and a US warship to the Black Sea. In short, just enough to spark a war but certainly not enough to win one.

Sy Hersh has a long piece in the London Review of Books detailing the strong evidence indicating that the Turkish government worked with Syrian rebels in a “false flag” operation of the worst sort: staging a chemical weapons attack near Damascus in August 2013. The intent was to throw blame for the attack on the Assad regime, thereby drawing the United States directly into the conflict; the use of chemical weapons against the rebels was a “red line” repeatedly laid down by Barack Obama as the trigger for an American intervention.

How To Feel Better About Everything – Dr. Ben Kim

For most of the year 2000, I worked and lived at a fasting clinic in northern California where I spent time with many groups of eclectic guests from all over the world.

I often tell my wife that during that year, I felt like I was floating around in a bubble, almost immune to any downers that life brought my way. Sure, there were times when I felt a bit crummy, but most of the time, I was at peace, able to feel compassion for anyone.

The source of my deep well of harmony was a commitment that I made with myself to live with the following philosophy in mind:
