DISSOLVING OUR SELF-IMPORTANCE by Pema Chodron

The fixed idea that we have about ourselves as solid and separate from each other is painfully limiting. It is possible to move through the drama of our lives without believing so earnestly in the character that we play. That we take ourselves so seriously, that we are so absurdly important in our own minds, is a problem for us. We feel justified in being annoyed with everything. We feel justified in denigrating ourselves or in feeling that we are more clever than other people. Self-importance hurts us, limiting us to the narrow world of our likes and dislikes. We end up bored to death with ourselves and our world. We end up never satisfied.

We have two alternatives: either we question our beliefs—or we don’t. Either we accept our fixed versions of reality, or we begin to challenge them. In Buddha’s opinion, to train in staying open and curious—to train in dissolving our assumptions and beliefs—is the best use of our human lives.

Special News Edition: Connecting the Evidence – Suspicious9bservers

Why I am Here: http://youtu.be/bEo3PBaVha8 My ‘Agenda’ is to undo the lie that is humanity’s primary role in global warming, we contribute a small fraction; and to differentiate the observation of real earth changes from the far extreme aspect of the ‘truth movement’.

PaulCraigRoberts.org Agenda Driven News – Paul Craig Roberts

I have known for a long time that US news is agenda-driven. Tonight (December 18) I was made aware of the extent to which agenda-driven US news drives the news of the rest of the world.

For reasons unbeknownst to me, Russia Today Moscow requested a live TV interview via Skype about the Newtown, Connecticut, school shootings that killed 20 young children and several adults. I was interested to know what was Moscow’s interest in the shootings, and I agreed to the interview.

I was surprised to see that RT Moscow’s interest was to spread the official US story of the shootings and to ask me if I thought “assault weapons” would be banned as a consequence.

CT. COP on Sandy Hook Inconsistencies: “THINGS DON’T ADD UP” – SGTbull07

Published on Dec 18, 2012

Firearms industry expert and part-time police officer Mark S. Mann (pseudonym) lives in Connecticut, just miles from the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary. He’s been following the story closely, talking to cops he knows in the area and he will be reporting for us as this story develops. Mark says there are just too many inconsistencies with the ‘official’ story and he says, “things don’t add up.” As we all now know, regardless of whether the mass murders of children and adults at Sandy Hook was a false flag operation, or the actions of a lone nut, the establishment intends to use this event to attack the Constitutional rights of law abiding Americans – they’re coming after the guns. And just like Stuart Rhodes of Oath Keepers, Mark says, “We will not tolerate any abuses to our 2nd Amendment rights.”

Grief and Love in Newtown: I had hoped that this would be a holiday message of more good news about our Ambassadors and then my dear friend Nick Ortner of The Tapping Solution called. He and his family live here in Newtown. We quickly discussed organizing a trauma healing effort and I knew in my heart I had to be here. Miraculously so it’s because of my experiences in Rwanda and with our Ambassadors that I believe healing is possible in any circumstance.

Last night when I arrived we visited the beautiful memorial sites that have been set up in the town. I was struck by this one sign:

We are the people of Newtown –

We choose Love.

I will keep you posted. In the meantime, know that your love, light and prayers do make a difference!
